HIV and AIDS testing

HIV/AIDS Testing

Human immunodeficiency virus, or HIV, progressively destroys the body's ability to fight infections and certain cancers.

What is HIV?

HIV causes AIDS - Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. People with AIDS are susceptible to life-threatening diseases called opportunistic infections. HIV is spread by sexual contact with an HIV-infected partner or through contact with infected blood, which can occur when injection drug users share needles.  For more information click here.
